The interdisciplinary project Rhythmic Patterns, Prosodic Domains and Probabilistic Modelling in Portuguese Corpora has as its goal the gathering of statistical evidences in Portuguese written text and speech data that can provide support to the conjecture that certain prosodic domains and/or certain phonetic-phonological information are relevant for the discrimination of natural languages into rhythmic classes.
